Hey there! Sorry I haven't added to the blog for a while. No time. Anyway, I have been writing a story in my free time. Here are the first two chapters. I will try to post more when I write a few more chapters. See if you like this so far.
Chapter One
Afraid of Everything
Sevil jumped down from the highest platform. Home. Sevil Binsley wasn’t much of a climber. He had always loved standing on solid ground. “Hey Sev!” called Owen. “Cummere! I just found a toad!” Toad? Ack! Sevil had never liked anything slimy either. Sevil didn’t like much of anything.
That is why Owen Miller had found a toad in the first place. Owen. Owen Miller had met Sevil in Kindergarten. They became friends after a fight in first grade. Now they were in fifth grade and good friends, too. Sevil was trying to face his fears. That meant that every day at recess, he and Owen were not playing. He climbed,(to attack his fear of heights), and Owen would find worms and toads and anything slimy,(for the fear of slimyness). Rrrriiinnggg!!!! “Sorry Owen! No time for the toad! Sevil cried as he ran to the door. Secretly, Sevil was glad. He couldn’t stand toads.Back in the classroom, Sevil was working on a report. He was researching world population and how much it increases every day, and multiplying that by 365 or 366 to see how much it changes every year.
“Hey Sevil!” that was Mrs. Wittington. “I have a challenge for you!”
Sevil groaned.“Sevil, you know the drill. Greet any challenge with a smile!”
“Oh fine.” Sevil said. “Tell me the challenge.”
“Find the answer for a decade, century, and millenia on how much population increases. Maybe even try farther than that.”
Boooop! “Students going on bus 28, you are dismissed! Have a nice weekend!” Sevil was relieved. That bus call meant 48 hours or more of video games, food, and sleeping for him. Yay! He thought.
At home, Sevil was exhausted. He had just spent four hours playing video games. WINNER!!!!! The screen flashed. Finally! He had beaten Mr. Gummy Bear X-Treme 3rd edition!
Chapter Two
Family Research
A month had passed. Sevil was at school doing another research project. This time it was about his family history. He had just found a whole wedsite about the Binsley family. It said: “The name ‘Binsley’ originated around the year 1678. That was when Mrs. Allison T. Ley was married to Mr. Albert L. Bins. The ‘Loony Bin’ is named after Mr. Bins.” Wow! Sevil was distantly related to a loony bin! Actually, now that he thought about it, he was also closely related to a loony bin. His sister!
“Loony bin, loony bin, Sevil is a loony bin! chanted Omara. Maybe he shouldn’t have told Owen that particular piece of family history. He should’ve known. Owen was friends with the mockingbird Omara. But then, it was pretty cool that there was a website about his family.
At home, he asked his mom, “Did you know that there is a website about the Binsley family history?”
“No, honey, I didn’t. Show it to me. I am very excited.” she said. So Sevil typed in the URL address, but the computer didn’t recognize it. “What the...” Sevil exclaimed. “What boggledemorf is that! I saw that website four hours ago! it can’t just disappear like that!”
“Yes it can.” Sevil paused. “Was that you, mom?” He asked. “No. Was it you?” How strange. It wasn’t him. It wasn’t his mom. Nobody else was in the house. The voice had come from nowhere. Unless...
